Speed dating with Harlequin Historical Editors Sarah Stubbs & Kathryn Cheshire

By now I’m sure you’re all aware how fantastic the Harlequin Community Forums are, and what a wealth of resource they can be! Still, emphasizing the great things happening there is always a good blog!

One of the upcoming highlights is a “Speed Dating with Harlequin Historical Editors” option. Full details are here at “Spooky Speed Dating with Harlequin Historical Editors Sarah Stubbs & Kathryn Cheshire” but for a short recap…

Go to the thread and sign up by Monday, October 21st for either Sarah or Kathryn

  •             You should be working on something suitable for the historical market
  •             All you need completed is a synopsis
  •             You submit a one paragraph pitch

Then on Monday, October 28th at 10AM (Eastern—these editors are in our UK office!) there will be chat room made available for those chosen for the speed dating round and Sarah and Kathryn will be in separate rooms

Pitchers will be called in to get a quick response–the editors will request a full manuscript, three chapters, a synopsis or perhaps advise it needs rethinking.

Be sure to check out the links and get ready.

You can also check out Kathryn on Twitter @CheshireKat3 or Sarah @SarahHistorical

Sounds easy and fun—and it’s great to get some information early in the process as well! (And though it’s called “Spooky” these don’t need Halloween or scary themes. Just celebrating October!)

So get writing and pitching!
