I know it’s a cliche but I adore the London in Love, Actually. Also that French lakeside gite that Colin Firth escapes to is to die for! It’s no wonder romance blossomed between his character and Aurelia.

Out of Africa – Robert Redford and Meryl Streep. it was a gorgeous setting and the soundtrack was awesome. I loved The Proposal too for the peek at Alaska. Letters to Juliet for the scenery and the whole wonderful premise. So many more and all of the above too! Settings are an important part of a story to give the “feel” of the story to the reader, if only in their imigination! 🙂

  3. I’m a sucker for a good historical setting – so Pride and Prejudice – in fact all the JA adaptations. I love the Bollywood version too – wonderfully exotic. A Good Year, set in Provence, has wonderful cinematography.
